Our Dance Year runs from August 7th, 2023 - May 11th, 2024.
We are closed for the following dates ONLY –
September 4& 5 Labor Day
October 30 & October 31 Halloween Break
November 20-24 Thanksgiving
December 19-January 2 Christmas
February 19 & 20 President's Day Break
(these are built in snow days – they will ONLY be observed if we don’t take any inclement weather days)
March 18-22 Spring Break

- December 18, 2023- The Polar Express Christmas Part/Show for All Students
- May 9, 2024- Dress Rehearsal At Furman
- May 11, 2024- Dance Recital At Furman
*DSOD does NOT close for Teacher Workdays or any other Holidays besides the ones listed above. Your 36 lessons (4 lessons X 9 months) includes 33 actual lessons with 1 extra rehearsal, 1 recital, and a Celebration Party. You will receive 4 lessons per month even though we observe the Holidays listed above. In most cases of inclement weather, we will follow Greenville County School closings. We have 1 make up snow day (February 19/20). Please check all forms of communication and social media for updates on closings.
